Plava Plaža (Blue Beach)
The closest beach to the villa and the easiest with children — shallow entry, pine shade behind it, showers, and cafés along the back. This is the everyday beach.

A charming Dalmatian seaside town where crystal-clear waters, beautiful beaches and a lively waterfront meet authentic konobas and relaxed Mediterranean evenings.
Orientation
Small enough to walk, big enough to matter
Vodice lies on the northern Dalmatian coast, about fifteen minutes from Šibenik and half an hour from Krka National Park. Some 9,000 people live here year-round, which is why it still feels like a town rather than a resort.
From Villa NeRu you can walk into the centre along the water, or the other way towards Tribunj — a tiny fishing village on its own island, connected by a stone bridge, where the boats still go out in the morning.

Beaches within reach
Bristak Beach
A peaceful beach between Plava Beach and Tribunj, offering clear waters and excellent swimming along the scenic seaside promenade connecting Vodice with charming Tribunj.
Punta / Hangar
The livelier stretch, with beach bars, music in the afternoon and a young crowd. Good for a long lunch that turns into the evening.
Srima and the coastal path
Follow the shore west and the crowds thin out fast: small pebble and rock coves, clear water, and a paved path the whole way if you would rather walk or cycle than drive.
By boat
The genuinely empty swimming is on the islands — Prvić, Zlarin, Kaprije. Water taxis and day boats leave from the waterfront through the season.

Sailing & boat hire
ACI Marina Vodice is one of the larger marinas on the coast, 1.8 km from the house. Skippered day trips, bareboat charter and small boats you can take out yourself are all available.
Diving & snorkelling
Several dive centres operate from Vodice and Tribunj, running trips to nearby reefs and wrecks, plus try-dives for beginners.
Cycling
Marked routes head inland through olive groves and vineyards towards Šibenik and Lake Vransko. Bike hire is easy to arrange in town.
Walking & running
The coastal path towards Srima and Tribunj is flat, shaded in places and roughly five kilometres one way — the best hour of the day is just after sunrise.
Fishing
Charter trips run from the harbour, and local licences for shore fishing are straightforward to get. Ask us and we will point you at the right person.
Markets
The morning market in the centre is where the tomatoes, figs, cheese and olive oil come from. Get there before ten.

Where we send our guests
Dalmatian cooking is simple and depends entirely on the ingredients: grilled fish, olive oil, a lemon. These are the places in and around Vodice that consistently get it right.
Konoba Tri Piruna
Tucked into a side street in the old part of town, and the one with a Michelin Guide listing. Half a century in business, regional cooking, beautifully handled fish and risotto.
Konoba Mediterano
Warm, homely and family-run — the kind of place where the owner explains what came in that morning and you order that.
Konoba Roki
A local favourite for straightforward Mediterranean seafood, consistently well reviewed by guests who found it themselves.
Restoran Markun
Our guests get 10% off food and drinks — just tell the waiter the password "Villa NeRu". Do not miss the chicken and rice in squash sauce: it tastes like something a grandmother made. Simple, genuine and full of flavour.
Restoran Sarm
Also down on Plava Beach, and one of the few places open year-round — useful outside the season, when much of the waterfront closes.

Tribunj
The little island village next door has its own cluster of restaurants around the harbour — quieter than Vodice in high season, and the walk back along the water is the point. Our own favourite there is Konoba Markolac.
Prvić
Konoba Maslina opens at 6 pm and is closed on Tuesdays — book a table. Morski Dvori is the other one worth the crossing.
Konoba Kristian
If you are visiting Krka National Park, do not miss Konoba Kristian at Roški slap. You will not be disappointed.
Konoba Dalmatino
We like this one in Skradin. Krka is a big park, and both Skradin — a small, charming town — and Roški slap are worth the trip alongside the falls.
